Positive Behaviour for Engaging Learning (PBEL)
Positive Behaviour for Engaging Learning (PBEL) is a multifaceted welfare and academic project that is being introduced to hundreds of schools across NSW. Balgowlah Boys Campus is in the initial stages of developing this program to specifically target the needs of both our school and boys education. The program is centred around the 3 core values of "Respect, Responsibility and Excellence", which were selected with consultation from the staff, students and community stakeholders.
The program aims to promote respectful and responsible behaviour through clear, specific and consistent expectations, with a major focus on positive conduct across the school. PBEL also aims to foster a school community where excellence is strived for, attained, and celebrated.
Balgowlah Boys Campus is aiming to launch PBEL in late 2014, with a focus on non-classroom settings. The PBEL team, in conjunction with the entire staff body, have been working busily behind the scenes to develop this program in the school, to ensure that this program will be a sustained success in assisting boys in their development into young and successful men.
