Food technology
Food Technology is studied as an elective in Stage 5 and Stage 6.Students are engaged in learning about food in a variety of settings, enabling them to evaluate the relationships between food, technology, nutritional status and the quality of life. Students develop confidence and proficiency in their practical interactions with and decisions regarding food.
Students are provided with the opportunity to develop their knowledge and understanding of food and the impact it has on society. They are given practical experiences in the classroom using a range of modern technologies.
