Code Club

Learn to code

Students from all years are invited to join the Balgowlah Boys Code Club.  Students will have the opportunity to learn programming skills, build problem solving skills and computer skills. This year's focus of code club will be developing Apps!  The coding club will also allow students to explore their own interest area in programming languages.

Code club members will be offered the opportunity to enter a programming competition in August. This does not require any expertise, only the desire to learn. This programming competition focuses on introducing the programming language Python.

"Everybody in this country should learn how to program a computer… because it teaches you how to think" – Steve Jobs, (http://code.org/)

Computer literacy and computer skills are as fundamental as English literacy and Numeracy in this current technological world.  Everybody has technological devices but the majority know little about how to program them. Let's change that!
